Still get "We need your email address" after submitting it

My dashboard shows this message:

We need your email address!

We weren’t able to get your email address from your associated login, probably because you’ve set it to private. We will need your email address to contact you about your liftings in the future.

Whenever I enter my e-mail, the message disappears, but it reappears when I refresh the page. How do I fix this?
