Tidelift GitHub application doesn't exist?

It seems that the Install GitHub Application task can’t be completed, as the Tidelift app itself doesn’t exist on GitHub.

Can it somehow be checked off anyway or is it just that the link to the app is broken?

@noplanman thank you for reporting this issue! I just took a look and I’m seeing this as well, so I’ll take a look and report back once it’s been resolved.

@noplanman all fixed! Thank you again for letting us know about this issue, and please let us know if we can help with anything else.

Ok, thanks! :+1:

What does the GitHub application actually do?
Is there a description / explanation somewhere?

@noplanman sure thing!

There’s a brief description on the task page and some additional details in the documentation, but installing the GitHub application allows us to run regular checks of your dependencies, detect security vulnerabilities and licensing problems, and gives us more control over our API usage, including increased rate-limits.
